LIPPY BEAUTY / GUIDE 01

Beauty search, filters and customer care

Connect useful collection links, shade filters and your delivery and contact information.

01Choose shopping destinations

Under Theme settings → Cart choose Continue shopping collection. Under Theme settings → Search select Suggested collections. Best sellers and New arrivals then link to a real collection sorted by sales or creation date. Without a selected collection the theme uses the store catalogue. Keep every product published to the Online Store appropriate for shoppers.

02Configure Shopify Search & Discovery

Install Shopify’s free Search & Discovery app. Add Product type, the product metafield custom.finish, and variant metafields custom.shade_family and custom.undertone as filters. Use single-line text definitions with consistent values. Label them Finish, Colour family and Undertone. Populate the fields on your products and variants; empty attributes do not create useful filters.

  1. Add a collection section with filtering enabled.
  2. Check availability, price, product type, finish, colour family and undertone on the storefront.
  3. Apply one filter and a combination, then clear them and confirm the product count.
  4. Use only attributes supported by verified product information.

03Make search and shade choices clear

Include descriptive shade names and everyday terms in searchable product titles, descriptions and tags. For example, describe a peach nude rather than relying on an invented shade name alone. Test predictive search and full results. Cards show the selected shade and use Add followed by its name when a single variant can be added immediately.

04Connect delivery and returns

Create a page with your actual delivery destinations, prices, timings and return eligibility. In a product Collapsible row select that page, enable Show page as a link and set an appropriate link label. Published Shopify shipping and refund policies can also be linked. Checkout countries, currency and rates are controlled in Shopify Markets and Shipping and delivery, separately from the theme.

The fictional Lippy demo contains clearly labelled example terms. They are not a fulfilment or refund commitment and must not be copied as a merchant’s actual policy.

05Add a contact form

Assign the contact template to a Shopify page. Its page content appears before the native Shopify contact form. Set your own page copy and contact route, check required-field validation, and verify delivery of a test enquiry before launch. A visible form does not establish that your support mailbox can receive messages.
